  • ITAC Order Taking System is designed to assist salesmen in taking orders directly while at the client's location. It utilizes the GPRS/3G+ communications infrastructure to exchange information with headquarters and the company's main stores regarding the items that the client's orders may include.

    System Components:

  • ITAC Order Taking System with integrated barcode printing software
  • Intermec hand-held computer with integrated Barcode Reader
  • Intermec Portable Receipt Printer
  • Intermec barcode printer (Desktop or heavy-duty printer.)
  • Consumables: Receipt Rolls, Long life labels and ribbons.
  • Order Taking Reports:

    Different types of reports can be generated. These reports will have different layouts for daily, monthly, and annual transactions and will contain different fields that define the order.

    Parameterized System Allows the Following:

  • Define SKU's (items) and their categories
  • Define clients and their routes and financial information
  • Control credit/check limitation
  • Take orders from hand-held device via online communication (GPRS, 3G+) or offline communication.
  • Approval of all orders
  • Define promotions
  • Handheld Application:

  • Login using a pre-defined username and password. Both admin and users are defined.
  • Enter clients using barcode
  • Register orders
  • Exit clients using barcode
  • Transfer data to the server via online/offline communication
  • Ability of logistics in the field
  • Ability of printing invoices
  • Order Taking Process:

    Pre-Round Activities:

  • Back-Office user logs in to the system using the pre- defined user-name and password.
  • Responsible Back-Office user generates the daily or weekly routes with the required detailed information for sales reps according to pre-defined routes.
  • Sales rep logs in to the system using pre-defined user name and password.
  • Sales rep synchronizes data from the back office system by inserting handheld units into docking stations or GPRS/3G+ network to receive his routes information.
  • Round Activities:

  • Start the route by reading the barcode in the warehouse.
  • The system will display the predefined routes of the sales rep.
  • The sales rep starts his visit by reading the client barcode or choosing the client from the list.
  • Display client's information.
  • The sales rep can postpone the client to another date by clicking on Postpone Icon and write the reason of the postponement.
  • Reading the client's barcode to make sure that the sales rep in the client.
  • Order: If sales rep chose order he should choose item and quantity then set promotion manually or the system will show the value automatically, then issue the order and synchronize it with back office.
  • Client's barcode reading (end of visit).
  • End route by reading warehouse barcode.
  • Synchronize orders to the back office, or synchronize data through online through GPRS.
  • Post-Round Activities:

  • The sales representative posts generated transactions to/from remote back office server via GPRS, 3G+ networks
  • The sales rep can insert the handheld unit into docking stations.
  • When data is received by the back office the delivery process will start.
